She is a practicing Endodontist at Smile Care dental clinic for 11 years with a focus on Conservative Dentistry, Rotary and Micro Endodontics, Smile Designing and Esthetic dentistry. Dr. Uma is a National Key Opinion leader for Coltene-Whaledent, Switzerland, and trainer for Advanced endodontics and Compoesthetics. Founder member of Get Going, Dr. Uma is passionate about outdoor sports, fitness, adventure activities having successfully completed Himalayan trekking Expeditions, Sahyadri trekking expeditions nationally and Alpine crossings at Tongariro and Routeburn track in New Zealand, Aiguestortes national park in Spain and Switzerland. She is part of the Aurangabad Cycling Association with regular on and off-road biking. She recently completed the Great Taste Tasman bike trail (leg one) at New Zealand.

Dr. Uma instituted Get Going to have women from all walks of life–home-makers to professionals–to participate in outdoor fitness activities thereby maintaining their health and vigor while having fun and cultivating enriching friendships with each other and with Nature.
